Unlike electric motor cycles the electric bikes do not completely rely on the electric bike battery but they rely on the joint effort of both motor and man power. The sole purpose of mounting a motor is to make cycling easy in the tricky situations like hills and rocky terrains.

Components

The electric bikes are simply bikes except these 3 major components-

Motor

This is the heart of an electric bike as because this is the thing that makes your bike use, the electric energy in order to assist you on tough terrains or when you are tired.

Battery

This is the component that provides electric energy to electric bike and 36v Li ion Battery is the one majorly used in electric bikes.

Controller

This is another important thing as this the component which help you adjust the power supplied by the motor to the electric bike.

Modes of operation

Electric bike can be operated in three different ways according to your needs

Pedal only

This is the mode where it works as the normal bicycle.

Pedal + Motor assist

This is the mode where the motor helps you in palaces which are hard to tackle with the human power.

Motor only

This is the mode which uses the motor only in case when you are tired.
